Partner Program
Information about partnerships like reselling and affiliates with ERA-IX.
Resellers
At ERA-IX we do our best to bring our innovative experience to as many as networks possible. Some of our customers requested to be able to resell ERA-IX to their customer (sub-member), so we have come up with three types of partnerships: Shared Port Reselling, Dedicated Port Reselling, Affiliates.
Shared Port
Our shared port reselling is a commonly used way to offer IX access to the customers of our members. This permits the use of multiple routers on the same physical port connected to ERA-IX. The additional services will be administered and have to also pass testing like the normal procedure. This type of reselling has the following requirements: This type of reselling has the following requirements:
- The customer must have an active agreement with Eranium B.V., without any active promotions or discounts. If desired, this can be adjusted with a new Connection Agreement with our regular list price.
- The customer must offer support to the sub-member. The sub-member has no rights on support by the ERA-IX NOC team.
- The sub-member has no rights to any SLA, as the responsibility of the port has been shifted towards our customer.
- The sub-member must register an account at the Eranium portal.
- The sub-member will be invoiced by our customer, not by us directly.
- The sub-member has limited access (e.g. port/AS2AS statistics) in the Eranium portal.
- The sub-member must follow the rules and guidelines mentioned in our Joining Policy: https://www.era-ix.com/joining
- The sub-member will always have at least a 10G port, we do not offer smaller port plans. The customer, however, can limit the capacity or use P95 billing towards the sub-member.
- The sub-member must be a business, ERA-IX is not B2C.
Costs
Fore each new sub-member, the customer is charged €25 MRC if the customer has a 10G port and €50 MRC for 100G ports.
Scenario
Customer X has a 10G port with ERA-IX and pays €75 per month for it. Customer X wants to resell to their Customer Y (sub-member). Customer X is charged €25 per month extra for Customer Y. Customer Y is not invoiced by us, but has limited access to the ERA-IX portal.
Dedicated Port
Our dedicated port reselling is the easiest way to resell our ports. Sometimes transport towards our infrastructure is provided by our customer for the sub-member. This type of reselling has the following requirements:
- The sub-member will be treated as a normal ERA-IX member on our side.
- The sub-member will be invoiced by our customer, not by us directly.
- The customer signed a Connection Agreement with us, not the sub-member.
- The customer can offer first-line support to the sub-member, useful for a managed provider or language barriers.
- If transport is provided by our customer, the sub-member has no rights to any SLA, as we cannot guarantee stability of the transport because this is out of our control.
- The sub-member must be a business, ERA-IX is not B2C.
Costs
Regular list port pricing. Additional reseller discount is possible depending on contract term.
Scenario
Customer X is a managed service provider in Asia. They provide managed services to Customer Y, which is an Asian company. Customer X wants to offer an ERA-IX port to Customer Y. Customer X signs another Connection Agreement with ERA-IX and handles invoicing towards Customer Y.
Affiliates
Our affiliate system is ideal for those who want to support our cause, while not wanting to struggle with actual reselling. Our affiliate program is custom tailored based on the customer, usually we offer up to 20% recurring discount on the member port (list price), for the duration of the first agreement of the new member.
The amount of discount really depends on many factors, including existing contracts and the new contract terms.
